Reporting Laws and Requirements - VIC

Mandatory Reporting
Notes:

Every State and Territory in Australia has mandatory reporting laws but they are all different.

Information:

The legal requirement to report about child abuse in certain circumstances is known as mandatory reporting.

This is a legislated law – so prosecution and penalties apply for non-compliance.

All States and Territories in Australia have mandatory reporting requirements of some kind. But the people who are mandated to report and the abuse types for which it is mandatory to report all vary across Australia.
